An interesting juxtaposition, but I think that reflects the PG depth of the two franchises more than anything else.

Maybe Roy was right to stick with Drew for so long in 2011 after all. Hah obviously not but still, this really is bizarre.
Did anyone actually think Marshall could survive in the NBA? He did the right thing by taking the money while he could, because that first contract is the only one he's going to get.

Not sure that Marshall would leapfrog Chalmers or Cole if he played for Miami. Of course Drew isn't expected to do so either.

Some players are better suited for college. Some are better pros.
Also, Drew has yet to be on an NBA team during the actual season.
Don't discount the familial connection here. Drew's dad played in the league and is now a coach in the league.
And athletically, Drew brings a bit more to the table than Marshall.
Not saying that I think Drew is an NBA PG, but athleticism can be a key factor in one's ability to make it in the NBA.
