I will bet TH pulls down POY- by a nose (sorry could not resist):D

The nose injury may actually help TH when it comes to player of the year. It gets him a lot of attention and air time, for sure. Plus, he seriously schooled us yesterday.

I think Thornton is the best player in the conference, but he is hampered by having a team that is not as good and doesn't get as much media attention.

TH has had a pretty darn good year and is a solid player. If he wins, it wouldn't be a travesty by any means.

Also, congrats to McRoberts, Nelson, and Scheyer. :)

i think the writers have done a pretty good job here. The top 5 are absolutely right. On the 2nd team, i had Visser & Crittenton over Reynolds & Wright. And i don't understand the McClinton pick over Mays or McCauley.

No surprises here on the 1st team. Josh makes 2nd team. Scheyer on all-freshman team.

For those who might be interested, here are the stats for ACC players in conference games only (http://www.scacchoops.com/forms/LeagueLeaders.asp?conferenceonly=1).

Looking at McClinton's numbers in conference play, I'm not quite sure how he deserves 3rd team over Demarcus Nelson.
