Playing on the kickoff team for St. Louis today, Matt Daniels badly injured his ankle and will require surgery. Possibly out for the year.
Man, do I feel bad for him. Not only because he was one of my all-time favorite Duke football players, but because he had just recently recovered from a torn ACL last year. At this point in his career, he was just a special teams player, but judging from online comments he's really well-regarded among Rams faithful.
Just a bummer.
