Fast Start for Streels at the BMW Championship

Kevin Streelman started with -5 (66), finishing with six birdies on his second nine. He is tied for third behind Brent Snedeker and Zack Johnson and even with Tiger, Stricker and Schwartzel.

The BMW Championship in Lake Forest, Ill. is the second-to-last tournament for the FedEx Cup. The BMW has a field of 70, which cuts down to the top 30 for the Tour Championship in Atlanta. Kevin, ranked 16 in the FedEx Cup, probably needs a win here to have a chance for the big prize next week.

Kevin had another good round (-1) at the BMW Championship and is in a tie for fourth at -6. He trails co-leaders Snedeker and Furyk by five shots. Furyk had an amazing 59 (-12) on a windy day at Lake Forest, Illinois.

Kevin shot 73-74 in the last two rounds and finished in a tie for 33rd position. He will go to the Tour Championship ranked #19, however, which indicates how great his season has been. His winnings for the year are just below $3.0 million.

The Tour Championship takes place at East Lake Golf Club, "which is the home course of legendary golfer Bobby Jones and is the oldest golf course in the city of Atlanta."
