Please, don't scare me like that. While not good news, it is certainly old news.

I edited the thread title in order to alleviate any confusion because, like dpslaw, I thought a third lineman had been injured when I first saw this thread. Here is the current injury status as I know it:

DE Jordan Dewalt-Ondijo (Redshirt junior) - recovering from surgery - may not be available for opening game
DE Justin Foxx (Redshirt senior) - recovering from surgery - may not be available for opening game
QB Thomas Sirk (Redshirt freshman) - ruptured Achilles tendon in Spring Practice - Out
OT Casey Blaser (Redshirt freshman) - broken hand (thumb?) - Out
CB Jared Boyd (Redshirt sophomore) - continuing knee problem - Out
OT Tanner Stone (Redshirt freshman) - broken ankle - Out for the season

This injury list is off the top of my head based on the fact I spend every free minute reading every Duke football article I can find on the internet; however, it could easily be incomplete so posters are encouraged to add to it if they know of additional injuries.

A fair list, but a bit too pessimistic about the two DEs. Cut said the other day that h's pretty confident that Foxx will be ready for the opener. He said DeWalt-Ondijo was more like 50-50 ... but that suggests that even if he's not ready for NCCU, he'll be back soon.

The Sirk injury hurts a lot -- he was looking like a star. After that, Stone ... although to keep it in perspective, our two worst preseason losses so far are a pair of promising redshirt freshmen who have never played.

Of course, preseason practice isn't over ... we'll see what happens in the next two weeks.
