Dr. J was just being interviewed on CNN and mentioned that his 14-yr old wants to go to Duke and be a Dukie!
 I thought was cool & just wanted to share. I wonder how good the kid is?
FYI: Dr J was on CNN to promote his upcoming documentary: http://www.cbssports.com/nba/story/22077552/documentary-on-julius-erving-to-air-in-june

Loved Dr. J, and would be glad to see him associated with Duke through his family.
Wouldn't hurt if his son turned out to be a great basketball player also. :)
I recalled that Julius lost a son in a tragic car accident (http://www.cbc.ca/sports/story/2000/07/07/erving000707.html) back in 2000.
Also was reminded that Julius was the father of former tennis player Alexandra Stevenson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandra_Stevenson).

Maybe we can petition the NCAA to allow him to wear #6. His other number's off-limits.
