A very interesting Grantland piece (http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/9225802/players-shane-battier-harder-find-conventional-wisdom-suggests) on value and rarity of players in the NBA who can effectively defend both wing positions and shoot well from 3 point range.

How great is it that there is now a role player defined as a "Battier"? I can just hear a coach calling his GM and saying, "we need a Battier".

This is one of the reasons I think Reggie Bullock could have a pretty darn good NBA career. He's a little small for the ideal "3&D" player, but I think he'll catch on as exactly this type of player if he puts the work in.

It is a nice article, but I'm not sure how rare these guys are. Pretty much every team has at least one of these guys, and some teams have multiple:

Atlanta: none
Boston: Williams
Brooklyn: Johnson (though he's too good to be a role player)
Charlotte: Henderson, Taylor, Williams
Chicago: Butler, Deng (when healthy)
Cleveland: Miles, Gee
Dallas: Crowder
Denver: Iguodala (like Joe Johnson, might be too good to be on the list), Chandler
Detroit: Singler
Golden State: Barnes
Houston: Garcia, Parsons, Harden (again, might be too good to qualify), Anderson
Indiana: George (again, maybe too good), Stephenson
LA Clippers: Butler
LA Lakers: none
Memphis: Pondexter, Prince
Miami: none (Battier can't really defend SG any more - he plays SF and PF these days)
Milwaukee: none
Minnesota: Budinger, Lee
New Orleans: Mason Jr
New York: Shumpert, White
OKC: Martin, Sefalosha, Liggins
Orlando: Afflalo
Philadelphia: Turner, Wright, Young
Phoenix: Johnson, Dudley
Portland: Batum, Matthews
Sacramento: none
San Antonio: Ginobili (though again he may be too good)
Toronto: Anderson, Ross
Utah: Hayward
Washington: Ariza

I'm not sure that all the names on your list both plays good D and shoots well. I'm pretty sure OKC's Martin is a bad defender, and Denver's Iguodala is a bad shooter. Some might be adequate defenders/shooters, but I'd hesitate to say they are good at both.
