Men 16-4 at the end of 3. The team is really coming together.

Women 9-7, 10 to go, a vital game for duke.

Great passing and spacing and effort. G'town obviously overmatched, but we are improving.
Live on Goduke quite good.

Terrific defense. Great passing. Brendan Fowler absolutely owns the X. It has been fun watching Myles Jones develop. The freshman is listed as 6'4", 240 lbs. He still has a lot to learn but, to borrow a term from hockey, he has a heavy shot. When he lets it go, it is a rocket.

Nice to see the guys continue on their hot streak with a 19-7 thrashing of Georgetown. I think we can put to rest the concerns that were posted only 3 weeks ago when many thought this was a "down season" and this team was "not up to the level of recent teams" and that February was "not the annual slow start" but something more. Some people thought it was "not too soon to consider tearing things up and starting over" and looking forward to "build[ing] a foundation for next year." Someone posted that they were so concerned by our slow start that they fully expected us to get "blown out" in our first three games in March (Maryland, Loyola and UNC).

History is on our side though as Coach Danowski's overall winning percentage at Duke stands at 78.5% even though his February winning percentage is a less impressive 61%. But, his first two teams went a combined 4-0 in February so since then, Duke teams have been 10-9 in February and that includes a national championship team and three other Final Four teams. Meanwhile, his March teams win 82.4% of the time and this year is faring similar with five straight wins following the Maryland loss on March 2nd. There is still a long way to go but I feel like after many people were counting us out this season, that Duke lacrosse is back in it!

(fyi...UNC upset Maryland 10-8 in College Park earlier today)

Why is this the asteroid bowl? The greatest source of EVIL vs. irrelevance. I think things are pretty clear here.

Burns likely hoping for a huge crater in the middle of the field so both teams have to take a loss:rolleyes:.

Terrific defense. Great passing. Brendan Fowler absolutely owns the X. 15-19 for him and 67% for the team is outstanding. Did you see the box score for Villanova's upset of Syracuse? Faceoffs were 22 out of 24 for Villanova. Either Villanova has a stud at faceoffs or Syracuse has a big problem.
