ESPN already going overboard with Gladys Knight & The Pips... Midnight Train to Georgia.
Assume we'll be hearing plenty of Ray Charles along the way... Georgia on My Mind.
I pray they have the opportunity to wear out Charley Daniels... Devil Went Down to Georgia. :D

If you're looking for a Super Bowl encore, hard to beat "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia". And I'm sure some UK fans are longing for "My Old Kentucky Home".

All the same songs that were overused up to and during the 1996 Olympics

I'm glad someone said this. That song is AWFUL. I haven't watched the montage for years, for said reason.

I can't hear you because I'm driving a massive gas-guzzling pickup truck around in circles on Turner Field.

Well, let's just hope we hear a whole lot of "The Devil Went Down to Georgia".

Showing my age, but I used to like it when NBC used Kenny Loggins' "This Is It" as the primary tournament marketing song--it wasn't limited to the Final Four location, of course.

From your mouth to Sean McManus' ears, Cameron! Forget all the AM radio gold, we need some crunked-up dirty south fire!

A LOT of Usher. That's almost guaranteed.

I have the clear winner, and here it is:

Battle of New Orleans. The version I've linked is from an old Nitty Gritty Dirt Band album, and is easily my favorite one. The song was written by Jimmy Driftwood, who did a few songs that have become standards in what is now called Americana music.

Great choice for the women's final four, maybe not so much for the men's.

I would love for them to play Southbound by the Allman Brothers, but I'm not counting on it. Another good one is Way Down Yonder on the Chattahoochee, but not counting on that one either. And I also hope they revert to one of the older, better versions of One Shining Moment, but not counting on that either.
