At least with respect to this statement, I agree with calipari:

"I've done a crap job with this team,"

Will recruits ever figure it out?

Maybe not today though, as the game with florida is going down to the wire. Spanarkel is doing the color if you need a reason to watch (cbs).

Articulate, intelligent commentary, Jersey accent. Should have known immediately.

Good Lord, I wasn't impressed with either team. Florida buries the needle on all the dork polls somehow, but every time I've watched them they've looked mediocre.

0-10 over the last 6 minutes, and shot only fade-aways, almost fearing contact or a trip to the line.

Helps Duke's resume, but I would rather have seen calipari in the NIT

I hate the idea of Cal in the NCAAT. He gloated when UK when out early in 2010 that when his team loses in the NCAAs that he sends his guys to the NBA. And he famously slapped Coach K when Duke won in 2010 by saying that he wouldn't consider a national championship a success if none of his players were drafted. A pile of dog doo wrapped in NCAA violations, with no sense of what it means to be a "college" coach. Like classes and a college education and such. His history is one of absolute disdain for the "college" part of college basketball.

But this horse has been beat to death. I just want Cal OUT of the NCAAT, either on selection Sunday or the weekend thereafter.

Won't it be fun if Kentucky gets sent to Dayton in one of the "first round" games though?

YES!! And even more 'funner' when they lose the play in game!

Not so much as if they don't make it at all. I would hate a story line about their "miraculous comeback" making it deep into the tourney,

Without Noel I have a hard time imagining them going far in the tourney.

I think recruits will balance out "the crap" job he has done with the national title and final four appearances that Calipari has on his resume. There are only a handful of coaches in college basketball who have won more titles or have more final four appearances than Calipari. My guess is that will resonate a little bit more than the struggles UK is having this season.

I can think of one, and he hasn't left a legacy of negated games due to repeated NCAA violations.

Actually there are several, but one in particular comes to mind.

Does your argument include titles and final fours that have been vacated by the NCAA?
