Two observations:

1. I see a bunch of women on here named for their mothers. From Duke alone we see Chelsea Gray, Haley Peters, and Tricia Liston come from progressive families. (Usually, "Junior" names are passed down from father to son.)

2. I definitely like that 1st Team over the 2nd Team, seeing as how it's either 11-on-5 or 12-on-5. (?)

Well, either that or they're in the junior class. :p

I really hope the men's first team only has 5 guys on it. ACC Basketball should remain free from the youth soccer trophy for everybody treatment.

It's so bad in my county that the all-league listing for girls soccer for the local high school league has 29 girls on it. The second team has 23 more.
There are only 7 teams in this league so 52/77 of the starting lineups are "all-league."

I wholeheartedly agree. To me this just says there really is NO first team All-ACC. At least there's a third team:(

Good to see Ty Marshall get some recognition. Because GaTech is so putrid, she gets overlooked by college fans, but I doubt she's being overlooked by WNBA staffs.

If you want to pick a real, five-person first team from that crowd, four out of five are no-brainers: Gray, Williams, Thomas, and Hawkins. The fifth is a much harder call. You can make plausible cases for Rodriguez, Stroman, Marshall, and Franklin.
