After his stupefying performance on Saturday night, Ryan sits with 890 points in his Duke career. He needs 110 over the remaining Duke schedule (min 4 max 11 games) to hit 1000 points for his career. With limited PT his freshmen year and the injury we hope is 100% behind us, 1000 points would be a great accomplishment.

What he would need to average for each possible amount of games remaining for him to hit 1k:
4 games: 27.5
5 games: 22
6 games: 18.33
7 games: 15.71
8 games: 13.75
9 games: 12.22
10 games: 11
11 games: 10

Also as a fun side note, here are Ryan's 3 pt %'s year by year:
Freshmen yr - 26%
Sophomore yr - 31.9%
Junior yr - 40.8%
Senior yr - 56.1%

If he can stay above 50% that would be pretty unique I'd have to imagine for a player to stop in the 20s/30s/40s and end in the 50s for a season. Since his slow start from 3, he is 28-40 from long distance, or just 70%.

As far as I'm concerned, he scored 1000 against Miami.

I'm hoping he averages 27.5, which would probably help him (and the team) play 11 games.

In 2013 - which includes all ACC games plus the Davidson game, Kelly is averaging 21.2 ppg and 6.6 rebounds per game over 5 games.

Those 5 games include Clemson, when he only played the first half, and Wake when he only played 22 minutes.

I haven't seen anybody raise this, but I think Kelly was on his way to an ACC Player of the Year/All-American type season before he got hurt. It's unfortunate we'll never know, but I'm certainly glad he's back now and reminding people how well he was playing before the injury.

Actually, against Wake he only played 18 minutes (had 22 points).

I agree that just before Ryan got hurt he was playing at a very high level, and he seems to be continuing that trend without missing a beat. Here's hoping he continues for another month or so.

One month and two days to be exact. ;)

We are blessed that we were able to have 2 home games, including his senior night game, to marvel at his value to the Duke team. Here's hoping that this continues past March. GO DUKE!!!!!
