I think Kedsy was right. After I posted my concern, I read that RK was swarmed by reporters at his locker, and he said to one of the reporters that he developed a "little blister." He didn't seem at all concerned.

His performance may have given observers enough optimism to significantly boost our chances for a No. 1 seed in the NCAAT. A lot of chatter now that, with RK so VERY back, Duke is once again a legit title contender.

That's gossamer at this point, though. The team has a lot of basketball to play before the brackets are announced.

to torture him after the game saturday night, i immediately went to just about every single MAJOR sporting site (and a few minor ones) and guess what the lead story was.......RYAN KELLY!! (he was even a link on the general headline topics of CNN.com) I copied and pasted link after link showing him as the front page story on all these sites.

And of course, VT isn't going to just roll over for us. We can't sleep on them. So I'll predict 30 minutes, 18 points, and 7 rebounds, with a lot if emphasis placed on improving team defense with Ryan on the floor.

Thank you very much for the Kelly link. It shows how far advanced Duke orthopedics and their sports medicine program . I felt confident Kelly was right into getting back into shape, soon after his injury.
It is a very unique program. And it makes me feel that Kelly is fit to go for a full gam ehere on out.

Sound reasoning, but I think your 'adjust down for other seniors stepping up' is unwarranted, there's plenty of points to go around even with Todd Z. I'll go with 17 and 5. There will be fewer rebounds as Seth, Mason, and Ryan are going to take a bulk of our shots and aren't going to miss much tonight.

And Mason will go for 20+ as there will be a renewed emphasis on low post scoring to jump start our big man.

Can I make up the rules in retrospect? I had 20 and 6 (total 26) just off by one from 18 and 9 (total 27). I really thought Mason was going to take all the boards this game but we really needed Ryan's rebounding in the first half.
