As spring football approaches, Heather Dinich, writing for ESPN's blog, has some thoughts about Anthony Boone (http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/_/id/77159/duke-qb-anthony-boone-ready-to-lead).

Money quote from Boone:

“I’ve played a good bit of football,” said Boone, who played in 11 games last year and completed 51.6 percent of his passes for 531 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions. “I feel like the two-quarterback system prepared me for being able to take control of the whole game and lead the team in the right direction and try to win football games and try to win championships.”

Given the schedule, I want 8 wins!

Money quote from Boone:

I like this one:

We want to win eight or nine games this year and put ourselves in position for a nice high bowl game in Florida maybe or in Atlanta, but we’re definitely looking for more than six wins, that’s for sure.

You gotta love it, almost spring with optimism in the air!

15 wins next year, including the "and one" for the National Championship, is what I what for us next season!

Next year, it would be 14-0. The new system starts in 2014.

Heather again addresses Anthony Boone, and his transition to starter.

He can extend plays with his running ability and his quickness and his strength," Cutcliffe said. "He's a 235-pound guy that's very quick. I haven't had a lot of guys that have a cannon as an arm. He's got that. He's got incredible range when he extends a play. He's a guy that's a playmaker.
