My vote will be for Rasheed. His defensive intensity and offensive firepower were stunning.

Tough call for me between Mason and Rasheed. Both were excellent. But I think Mason's interior defense, confident offense (for the most part), and stalwart rebounding, especially in the first half when Duke was building their lead, carried the vote for me.

But this game was Rasheed's. Best that I've been the frosh play. I loved his aggressiveness and ability to drive. IMO, our championship lies with Kelly and Sully. Go Irish power!

This is as close to a perfect game as any I have seen of late. Rasheed was brilliant on both offense and defense. He just had a great game. Not to take away from Mason, who also played very well. Nice to see after the Maryland problems.

Mr. Sulaimon gets my vote tonight. Superb game on both sides of the ball. Mason gets the blue collar award for 19 points (on 7 shots!), 15 boards and 4 assists.

I thought about clarifying that with "only" 7 shots or 7 "official" shots and then someone else would have said, "of course he only got 7 shots, he was fouled on the rest of them so they didn't count as shots (unless they went in)." Figured I wouldn't be "correct" either way. I'll take that stat line night after night for him as it indicates a real work horse performance plus, that means he got 8+ fouls called on our opponent. Sulaimon was pretty effective/efficient, too, with 27 points on 15 "official" shots.

I voted for Rasheed Sulaimon as he made a statement for being voted Rookie-of-the-Year! He was intense on both ends of the court.

When they play that well as a team, Todd gets my vote.
