Not sure if this is off-topic or not. To the extent that it involves Duke and sport, I'm hoping you can give it a pass. Also, it is known that Naismith was a rugger, and it is rumored that he originally conceived of basketball as a form of "indoor rugby." So there that.

Anyway, 2013 is the 50th anniversary of the Duke University Rugby Football Club. We are working on a number of ways to commemorate the event, all of which are being coordinated on our facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/groups/dukerugbyalumni/). There's also a impressive and growing collection of old photographs and artifacts collected over the years by former players.

If you are a Duke Rugby alum, know a rugby alum, or just sort of have a strange fascination with men in short shorts, please go directly to the facebook page and request to join.
