Tune in if you are up. 74-73 with 10 minutes to go and the Pressey kid from Mizzou has 16 assists already. Really fun game to watch so far. Tony Parker played 2 minutes in the first half and set like 7 or 8 screens. :D

Indeed. Sick dunk by Shabazz on the break.

Pressey is awesome. Both teams are shooting the lights out.

I think mizzou would be a tough matchup for Duke.

I am beginning to see why Drew and the Wears went to UCLA - they actually use their timeouts. Howland is the anti-Roy.

Also, how does a D1 team not know how to defend the pick and roll? Mizzou is eating them alive with it.

UCLA is running out of gas. 7 man rotation with 3 freshman catching up to them. Has been a great game to watch to this point. Agree with Mizzou being a tough matchup. Really good team.

Well if Howland could stop everyone from leaving, he'd actually have some depth.

Pressey is getting too fancy and careless with the ball and letting UCLA back into this.

Sounds like he will lose one more at some point when Parker bolts. Though in fairness, Parker looked pretty bad during his brief run in the first half. Has not left the bench in the 2nd half.

Likely won't matter to Howland - he's likely gone, too.

Wow that should have been intentional foul. Holy missed call Batman. That was nuts!

Wow. How was that *not* a flagrant?

They should have at least reviewed it. Curious how UCLA only had 3 fouls to that point...

I guess UCLA is UNC-West - they're definitely getting the home-cooking calls at the end! How in the WORLD was that last foul on UCLA NOT called intentional? Totally ridiculous, IMHO.

By the way, lamest coaching strategy ever at the end. Effective, but lame.

Agreed. How do you play an entire half and only get called for 3 fouls?!? I believe that I would have to say that UCLA gets ALL the calls. Yeah, that's the ticket! ;)

I have watched the entire game and Mizzou got hosed a lot on foul calls all night long, but that last play was incredibly bad. No way K doesn't get T'd up had that been Quinn Cook getting mauled like that on a breakaway. Insanely bad non-call there.

Most of the bad calls have been on slight pushes on offensive rebounds.

Bad strategy given the game was tied. Now they are in OT and put Mizzou in the 1 and 1 purposely

If I have Shabazz Muhammad and Jordan Adams, I never let Larry Drew shoot.

How is this even a game? Mizzou should have won it in regulation. Not impressed with the Tigers. Ouch.

Mizzou would be better with a better coach.

I think that it was Tony Parker's two points and two rebounds that led UCLA to victory. Not even Red Auerbach could come up with a defensive scheme to stop this hoss.

We should keep it simple and call them UNCLA. None of this "west" stuff.

Also, we should enjoy the parallels between the Heels and Bruins while they last. I have a feeling that a new coach -- say, Shaka Smart -- could bring some new wizardry to Westwood rather quickly.

Your wish is my command oh witty one!

And God, I hope UNC and UNCLA play in the tourney. Watching the Wear boys destroy Ol Roy's frontline would be Christmas in March...

Mizzou was insanely difficult to defend last year, with Pressey at point, Dixon/Denmon on the wings, Kim English as their PF, and Ratliffe inside (who never missed). According to Kenpom, their offense was one of the most productive since he's started tracking things. Their defense was ungodly awful though (#115 in AdjD).

Fast forward a year, Pressey is still around, but those other four guys are gone now. They have Bowers back (who is more of a plodder) + Oriakhi, so they are much more "traditional". D is better, O is worse.

I don't think they are susceptible to another embarrassing "Norkfolk" loss, but they probably aren't a Top 10 team either. Of course, the SEC is awful, so those stats may start looking a lot better soon.

Recognize that Parker's and Jefferson's stats to date are very similar (minutes played, points and rebounds). I guess the big difference is attitude of the players (Jefferson has not publicly complained).
