That is the best free throw defense I have ever seen. Get that outta here!

Found this over on the woofie board...

Besides the obvious lack of distance on the shot, it looks like it would also be wide left of the backboard.

Well, at least he shot it right to a teammate for the offensive rebound . . . but I think it has the hit at least the backboard or it goes to the other team, right? Isn't that the rule for an airball on a live ball free throw attempt?

As an App grad, I can honestly say that I'm just impressed we remembered to schedule refs for this game. Basketball is definitely in the backseat at App...or perhaps in the trunk...

I love my alma mater! :-D

Interesting to see that Jason Capel is the App.St. coach.

Maybe this guy should quit dribbling before he shoots ;)

Maybe he needs a coach that could shoot.

Had nice arc on it though:rolleyes:.

It has to hit the rim. Backboard is optional.

The one-handed nonchalant grab by his teammate makes this just awesome. My stomach hurt from laughing so hard at that.

Anyone else remember Brady Morningstar's FT miss from a couple of years ago? I think that one was even worse, if only for the reason that he tried to catch it and shoot again like nothing happened. And because he was in as a replacement shooter after Cole Aldrich got injured.

That a college basketball player could shoot that badly. That's with no one guarding him. Maybe he needs to check the wind before shooting or get him a golf range finder. GoDuke!

You can enter the lane on the release in college. Only the shooter has to wait until the ball hits the rim.

On Twitter, Adam Rowe said that this shot by Raymond Felton was worse than the App St free throw.
