Love the bounce off the car shot.

Also good to see that the is still having fun in the NBA, and that the Pistons are behind him making more of these videos. Could be seeing lots of fun videos from former Dukies (Singler & Kyrie) for a long time.

That is AWESOME! Very smart to continue that "Kyle Gets Buckets" tradition. Again, I think this highlights the power that Blue Planet brings to the program. People can make fun of K's MBA speak about branding, it is a favorite saw of Huckleberry Hound, but that arm of the program does a great job of branding the players and the program - having the role players and bench guys conduct post-game interviews, the feature videos, etc.

I watched Kyle against the Knicks yesterday. Detroit took a beating, but Kyle looked really tough. Once he figures out how to best guard quicker players - he was forced to check JR Smith and Jason Kidd as Detroit has him playing a lot of 2 - he'll be really tough out there.

As a Pistons fan (by default, being from Detroit) it's going under the radar how solid Kyle is playing as a starter. Up until a blowout loss against the Fighting J.J. Redick's a week ago, he was the only player on the team with a postiive +/- rating.

Singler leads the Pistons (http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=400277918) to a win over Portland tonight with 16 pts (6 of 7 shooting); 10 reb; 5 asst; 2 stl; 1 blk (and a +13).

*** Sorry, saw this was already posted in the Dukies in the NBA thread.

I'm sorry for being out-of-touch, dense, etc, but could you briefly explain the "fighting" part of J.J. Redick? Thanks...

I assume he is simply refering to the fact that the team has been gutted and JJ is the only remaining player of note. At least, for Duke fans, this is likely true.

The drop kick was particularly impressive. I wonder how many takes he needed?

Isn't it funny that the car-shot uses an Ohio-made, Japanese-owned car rather than a Detroit-built Ford or Chevy, etc.? More proof that Ohio > M*chigan. ;)

Awesome video though. The drop-kick shot is ridiculous.

The fans are really taking to Kyle in the D.
Even as Man 6, he's giving the team stability and toughness. I'm definitely going up for a game this winter to cheer for one of my all time favs.

BOOOOOOOOOOO! They used a Ohio-made car because no one buys them...us Michiganders are too busy selling cars!! ;)

In any event, as a Pistons fan, I'm super pumped that Kyle is doing well on the team and that "Buckets 3.0" hits some of the awesome places in my hometown. One of the things I was able to do while I was last up there was get a Singler jersey from the team store. I can't wait to catch the 'Stones when they're here in DC and rock my new jersey in support!

I was going to say, has anyone noticed what a great start he's had? Kyle started last night, played 36 minutes scoring 16 points on 6-7 from the floor including 3-3 from downtown and grabbing 10 boards. Very impressive stuff and soooooooooooo nice to see. Love me some Singler rub....

His first start of the season, he had 16 points. Last night, he had 8 points, 8 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals and a block...in the FIRST QUARTER!

A lot of my friends back home are Duke haters, but I was able to convince them that drafting Singler would pay dividends. I've already converted them to being Singler fans with his performance thus far!

Here's an article posted by one of the Pistons' beat writers about Kyle and how his play has energized the Pistons thus far. Great read.

I won't take sides on the car or the state, but I still can't figure out how the bucket he made that shot.

Because of the players in that picture, the Pistons and Magic are currently two of my favorite NBA teams.

Neat that the blog post compares him to a guy named Battier.

JJ doesn't quite have Shane's shot defense move down, does he?
