Despite five losses and a drop to number 16 in the latest poll, Duke was given a three seed when the bracket for the NCAA women's soccer tournament was announced earlier today. They open the tournament at 4:00 Eastern time on Saturday at Koskinen against Loyola (Md.). If they win, they will play either Miami (Ohio) or Tennessee in the second round. Penn State and UVa are the top two seeds in Duke's quarter of the draw.
As expected, the ACC got nine teams in the field, six of which are seeded (FSU, UNC, Uva, Wake, Duke, Md).
There is no Duke football game this week, so go over to Koskinen and watch some futbol.
