... captured the gold medal at the World Championships, held in Bratislava, Slovakia, beating Sweden to finish the tournament 9-0.
Two of Duke's incoming freshmen - Jasmine and Krystal Thomas (no relation) were key contributors to the squad. Jasmine started every game and was the leading assister and three point shooter. Krystal came off the bench to play more about 14 mins a game, but still managed to be the fourth leading scorer and the second leading rebounder.
