I've looked on my cable box and the internet and the only place I see to stream is what newton mentioned above. BUT YOU HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR at least $30, no thanks...

The USA won 105-42. Rasheed finished with 12 points and 5 rebounds in 24 minutes and Julius Randle had 12 points and 8 rebounds in only 15 minutes. Shaq Goodwin had 30 points in 18 minutes.

For the US Virgin Islands, Khalid Hart, who goes to a high school in Delaware and is headed to Marist, had 12 points, and another Delaware high school player, Rashid Swanston had 11 points.

Here is the boxscore

Shaq had a Laetner type game, scoring 30 while not missing a shot.

Sheed with 7 points, 5 rebounds in another blowout win today. Purvis bounced back well with 13.

Do you know if he was used at PG or SG?

Couldn't tell from the box score.

Nate Britt played 22 minutes and James Robinson 16, so I would venture to say that Sulaimon played primarily at SG.

USA 83 Brazil 64 (http://live.fibaeurope.com/www/Game.aspx?acc=4&gameID=14097&lng=en)

Looks like a solid performance by Rasheed with 21+ minutes and 9 points.

15 points from Julius Randle; good stuff in international competition for a rising high school senior.

Canada 75 -- Argentina 68 (http://live.fibaeurope.com/www/Game.aspx?acc=4&gameID=14096&lng=en)

Andrew Wiggins leads Canada to win with 19 points.

This appears to be an upset, at least based on historical comparisons, eh?

If Wiggins is as good as he is supposed to be then history might not matter for this one. Canada is continuing to bring through solid basketball talent (and parking them in US high schools)

Those results leave the United States facing Argentina and Canada facing Brazil tomorrow, probably later in the day, although the times have not been annouced yet.

USA 107 -- Argentina 72 (http://live.fibaeurope.com/www/Game.aspx?acc=4&gameID=14640&lng=en)

Big win for the American team; Rasheed had 14 points and the highest +/- stat (+25 when he was in) of any player in the game.

Brazil 66 -- Canada 62 (http://www.usabasketball.com/mens/u18/12_mu18_can_bra.html)

Andrew Wiggins had 17 points in a losing cause.

The USA team will certainly be favored in the Gold Medal game, but Brazil will go all out in a quest for the championship before a home crowd.

Yeah, this might not actually be that boring (although I agree it would have been nice to face a different team, and Andrew Wiggins); it will be an important test of the players' maturity and Billy Donovan and his fellow coaches' motivational skills to make sure the US team doesn't take Brazil a bit for granted after beating them once. The fact that Brazil wasn't a pushover the first time will help, of course.

Duke recruit Rasheed Suliamon (14 pts) and Duke target Julius Randle (15 pts) led Team USA to a win over Argentina in the semi-finals of the U18 World Championship. Team USA will play Brazil for the Gold medal.

We are +6 at the half, have lots of 2nd chance points but are getting killed on the boards (?). If Brazil could shoot 2s and FT well, they'd be leading as they have 19 FT to our 3 but made less than 50%. Think we are shooting about 50% overall and Brazil shooting ~31% on 2 point FG. Back to the stats!

Looks like 'Sheed has been in some foul trouble, which has reduced his minutes.
Picked up 2 fouls fairly early in first half and sat for a good while; then picked up foul #3 in 3rd quarter.
USA up by 12 towards the end of 3rd quarter.

Looking good for the US as we are up 25 with under 4 minutes to go. Randle with a double-double. 'Sheed with no more PF but not too much in the way of stat-stuffing.

USA 81 -- Brazil 56 Final; US wins Gold (http://live.fibaeurope.com/www/Game.aspx?acc=4&gameID=14645&lng=en)

Sheed finished with 8 points; hit a couple baskets in the 4th quarter to help break the game open. USA apparently wore down opponents with their depth, and they dominated the 2nd half of the final game, too.

Duke target Julius Randle had a big game with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Congratulations to Sulaimon, Randle, and their teammates; the international competition is great experience.

Some quotes from Rasheed (http://www.usabasketball.com/mens/u18/12_mu18_game05_quotes.html) after the victory.

How does it feel to win the gold medal?
Oh man, I’m speechless right now. We worked so hard for this, since June 5, and to have all these guys come together, find chemistry and really play for our country and for all our hard work to pay off and get a gold medal it’s great. Like I said, I’m lost for words; I’m blessed; I’m honored; I’m proud to be an American; I’m everything – it’s just a great feeling.

Did it mean more that it was a close game for a half?
It meant a lot because of course it’s their home soil. We knew they were going to come out with a lot of emotion, but we did a great job of weathering the storm and when we got our second wind they couldn’t deal with it. We knew we had the tools to win the game so we just stayed focus and came out on top.

I impressed with this kid. He seems to have the kind of overall game that will fit into the Duke style of play and has the maturity not to be blowing his own horn but instead has the team first attitude. I think he could score more if required but plays within himself and does what it takes to get a victory.

"Donovan had one word for NC State-bound wing Rodney Purvis (7 ppg, 1.8 rpg) and Duke-bound guard Rasheed Sulaimon. That one word? Relax.

He said Purvis is an exceptional talent, but can get too wrapped up in scoring at times. He said he's an exceptional athlete, very physical and a really good player, but needs to check the expectations a bit. Donovan said Sulaimon (10 ppg, 3.4 rpg) needs to avoid feeling too much of the natural pressure that comes with being a highly touted Duke recruit. He loved Sulaimon's work ethic and enjoyed coaching him, but said he just needs to chill a bit."

That's my one concern with Sulaimon - that he'll try to be Austin Rivers. That's exactly what I don't want him to be. He looked SOOOO good when he played off the ball in the McDonald's game. He created scoring chances with good cuts, and he shot in rhythm. He doesn't need to be Superman next year. He just needs to be really good.

BILLY FREAKIN' DONOVAN telling someone to chill?

That's like Charlie Sheen espousing moderation.

How so? Donovan doesn't seem like an overly emotional coach on the sideline. Certainly doesn't strike me as high strung.

If I recall, he traveled from Florida to NC to sit in his car outside a high school gym to have a recruit SEE him. Chill being the antithesis of intense.

K responds to Donovan comments:

http://espn.go.com/blog/collegebasketballnation/post/_/id/60754/3-point-shot-tcu-appeals-devonta-abron-decision

3. Florida coach Billy Donovan’s advice for Duke-bound guard Rasheed Sulaimon was to relax a bit and not feel so pressured after coaching him on the U18 gold-medal winning team in Brazil. Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski doesn’t disagree. “I think it all means a lot to him, whether he’s at Duke or anywhere else,’’ said Krzyzewski. “He does put a lot of pressure on himself. But I’d rather have that then a kid that doesn’t give a darn.’’ Krzyzewski said Sulaimon will help the Blue Devils immediately next season with his ability to pressure the ball and use his length at 6-foot-4. The Blue Devils will have open minutes for Sulaimon with the departure of Austin Rivers and the decision by Andre Dawkins to redshirt. Seth Curry and Quinn Cook return to the perimeter. Mississippi State transfer guard Rodney Hood, who is due on campus this week, will have to sit out the season.

As an aside, it's kind of amazing that modern journalism, with the demands for constantly new content of various descriptions (tweets vs blog posts vs longer form) results in a guy like Andy Katz essentially getting an interesting quote and extending the news cycle of that quote by getting the response from K. Now all we need is a response from Rasheed himself, then some of his U18 Team USA teammates, then some of his new Duke teammates, then the bloggers covering the Duke team and then, naturally, the DBR message board response to it all.....and I will read all of it!
