Article is a couple days old. Part we would expect:

today, he is one of his coach's most trusted players

This assertion was a bit surprising:

It's safe to say that Redick ... was a steal at No. 11 [in the 2006 draft].

The analysis:

Four players taken ahead of Redick (Adam Morrison No. 3, Brandon Roy; No. 6, Patrick O'Bryant; No. 9 and Mouhamed Sene No. 10) are no longer in the league. Out of 30 first-round picks, just 14 are still NBA players. And the list of players who have had better careers than Redick — one that includes Andrea Bargnani (No. 1), LaMarcus Aldridge (No. 2), Rudy Gay (No. 8), Rajon Rondo (No. 21), Kyle Lowry (No. 24) and Paul Millsap (No. 47) — is short

Tyrus Thomas (#4), Jordan Farmar(#26) and Ronnie Brewer(#14) are in the neighborhood, I'd think Randy Foye(#7) has been a bit more successful, but it is a solid argument.

I still think another kid picked ahead of JJ might pan out.

BTW: the Nets have 4 players named Williams

Brandon Roy would have been an All-star every year of he had knee ligaments.
