Interesting and timely piece on Bloomberg:

And you gotta love the picture! The jist of it seems to be that silence bothers free throw shooters more than noise or antics.

I wonder if the crazies should implement a silent strategy for Saturday's game? Go silent when a heel is at the line. Make good noise when we're at the line. Of course, we'd need to clear it with the coaches.

Go silent when a heel is at the line.

If they wanted to spook the opposition, they would make huge amounts of noise and then go silent right after the shooter starts his motion. Not sure even the Crazies could time that properly, though.

you mean like being really silent and then making huge amounts of noise right after the shooter starts his motion but backwards? hmmmmmm...would be hard to put together

Yeah we talked a bit about this with Mason earlier in the season. JJ also agrees, just skip to ahead to 1:20 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AZmMs1Uohw

Yes, that's what I mean. It would be very difficult to pull off, but would probably be very effective. Something like that would have a good chance to totally throw off a shooter in the middle of his motion.

Maybe the crazies should be totally silent and appoint a single person to yell "miss it". Would Roy try to throw somebody out of Cameron? ;)
