The Terriers will move from club to D1 beginning in 2014. This comes on the heels of a similar announcement by Furman last week.

That would be Boston U.?

Glad to see the sport growing; frankly, that's unusual with current college athletics budgets.
In North Carolina, lacrosse seems to be catching on at the high school level.

One sister is a BC alumna, so I'll let the title stand. :)

Anyway, how do these schools accommodate Title IX requirements if they're moving up to D-I in men's sports?

Well, one approach is pretty basic; add a D-1 women's lacrosse team at the same time they add the D-1 men's team.

That is exactly what Furman is doing.

BU doesn't have football, which makes it considerably easier to make the Title IX compliance numbers work.
