For some reason I immediately noticed Mason's reaction after the shot. He did a massive fist pump and then just walked over in the direction of the bench while the rest of the team chased Austin. You can see in this pic that Mason is nowhere to be found ...

Yeah, you see only 11 players in this picture. Marshall jumped on him and the 2 were last to joined the pile (and thus, not captured in the photo).

Here's a couple I mocked up. Hopefully Mortal Kombat fans appreciate it. I don't think the "Duke Wins," works as well as Sub-Zero b/c the "Fatality" reference is lost.

Watch the replay in slow motion - Mason actually starts the "pump" BEFORE it goes through. That says a lot about their confidence in Austin. Just awesome.

Gotta say I knew exactly what Quinn was doing as I watched it live and he turns away from the pile-up (and towards the faded-blue fan section). I didn't like that he taunted them like that, but (1) am sure that it was just an instinct/spur-of-the-moment reaction, (2) was the result of some pretty terrible verbal abuse they'd been taking all game (and pre-game); (3) It really IS hillarious to look at the smurf reactions to Quinn in those still shots.

In the post-game recaps with Vitale, Bilas and Schulman, it is obvious that place emptied out in a BIG hurry. Good thing this wasn't in College Park, or else the car and property fires would STILL be burning around town!

In regards to Quin, yes, I thought it was Danny Greenish to be thumbing his jersey to the student section....but who knows what those guys were yelling at our players. I'm sure it wasn't nice.

Barnes is now 1 and 3 against Duke. Something very satisfying about that.

I was one of those and I agree that Quinn's move was not appropriate. I won't make excuses for it. Hopefully he will react differently next time. Still love him though! I just one that does not care for taunting. Love the celebration though. They deserved it!

Is there a shot out there of Quinn mocking the students from the other than the one posted? That seemed to be before he actually got into it and I want to see the look on his face.

As someone noted, im sure after all the verbal abuse before(the whole week leading up even) and during the game helped cause the spur of the moment decision...

Usually I don't like taunting... BUT, I love the swagger of Quinn and the trash talk of Tyler. This team needs that edge that these guys provide. Plus, the taunting that Quinn did was minor.

I mean, that was completely different. The entire FSU team ran to within spitting distance of the student section and yelled/taunted them aggressively (borderline violently) for a full ten seconds or so. We just had one freshman pop his jersey at the crowd for like a second.

I'm not saying I'd like that kind of thing to become acceptable, but whatever. He's our guy and it was an emotional moment.
