From press release

"Stacey Poole, a 6-4 guard from Jacksonville, Fla., who played the 2010-11 season at Kentucky, has enrolled at Georgia Tech for the spring semester and joined the Yellow Jackets’ basketball team, head coach Brian Gregory announced Monday.

Poole, who did not play a game for the Wildcats during the fall semester before deciding to transfer, will be eligible to play for the Yellow Jackets following the fall, 2012 semester at Tech. He will have 2 ˝ years of eligibility remaining. He began practicing with the team at the end of last week.

“We’re really excited about Stacey joining our program,” said Gregory. “He’s got a great opportunity over the next several months to really grow as a player and be well-prepared for when he is able to play. (Assistant coach) Josh Postorino and I both recruited him out of high school, and we have always been impressed with his work ethic and his toughness, as well as the energy with which he plays. Those are important qualities we want in the players in our program.”

Poole was ranked the fourth-best small forward and No. 33 overall prospect by Rivals.com out of Providence High School in Jacksonville in 2010, and the No. 51 overall prospect by ESPNU. He averaged 16 points, eight rebounds and four assists per game as a senior, 17.3 points per game as a junior.

At Kentucky, Poole played in 16 games during the 2010-11 season for a Wildcats’ team that went 29-9 overall, 10-6 in the Southeastern Conference and advanced to the NCAA Final Four in Houston."
