This is very good news for the 2012 football season! Conner Vernon is on the cusp of rewriting a variety of records. Can't wait to see him play another year!

Great news. Conner is one of the toughest most talented football players I've seen play at Duke. Granted I wasn't alive for the time of the Iron Dukes and the 42 Rose Bowl team, but he is a special player. I expect big things from him in his senior year and I hope he ends it on a high note.

He's probably two games away from breaking the Duke receptions record. Pretty awesome to have him for another year.

I would have been pretty surprised if he had left but he is certainly our best candidate for early entry.

I'm GGLC with anticipation of watching Conner Vernon in Wallace Wade as a senior. Hopefully he breaks lots of records followed by a long and prosperous career in the NFL. Good luck Conner! All of DBR is pulling for you.

Yikes, me either... that would have been a tough one to swallow.

Glad to hear he'll be around though, and it's also great to hear the feedback from the NFL was positive. I'd love to see him stick in the league, and not just because we've had a grand total of one draft pick in the last decade (if I recall correctly)...

I like this news. Really enjoy watching him play. Guy takes a beating and just keeps playing.

If he has an injury-free year, he'll leave Duke with not only the school record for receptions, but with the ACC career record as well.
