If so he (or they!) would join Jeff Mullins of the 1975 Warriors and Danny Ferry of the 2003 Spurs.

Looking like a real possibility. I took one set of Internet odds, took out the gambling site overlay (20%) and calculated probabilities for team with Duke players. Came out to 60% -- them's short odds (2 to 3) -- you put up three bucks to make two.

Obviously Shane on the Heat is a major contributor to the higher probability. Here's the detail expressed in percents --

Heat 30.2%
Bulls 11.1%
Lakers 9.2%
Magic 2.4%
Blazers 2.4%
Pacers 1.0%
Nets 0.8%
Bucks 0.5%
76ers 0.5%
Suns 0.5%
Bobcats 0.3%
Cavaliers 0.3%
59.4%

As it turns out, the probability of TWO Dukies getting a ring this year is 14% (6 to 1 odds), thanks mostly to the Bulls. Of course, any trades would change the figures.

We need to reallocate resources to maximize our probability of success. Maybe Dahntay can get traded to OKC and Grant can get traded to the Clippers.

Might want to add the Hornets in there. Probably won't change the odds too much, but still....

There are so damn many of them in the League at this point it seems more likely than not!

I don't think the Hornets have a former Dukie on the roster anymore. They cut Lance Thomas.

Did not realize that. Bummer - hopefully Lance catches on somewhere else.
