If so he (or they!) would join Jeff Mullins of the 1975 Warriors and Danny Ferry of the 2003 Spurs.
Looking like a real possibility. I took one set of Internet odds, took out the gambling site overlay (20%) and calculated probabilities for team with Duke players. Came out to 60% -- them's short odds (2 to 3) -- you put up three bucks to make two.
Obviously Shane on the Heat is a major contributor to the higher probability. Here's the detail expressed in percents --
Heat 30.2%
Bulls 11.1%
Lakers 9.2%
Magic 2.4%
Blazers 2.4%
Pacers 1.0%
Nets 0.8%
Bucks 0.5%
76ers 0.5%
Suns 0.5%
Bobcats 0.3%
Cavaliers 0.3%
59.4%
As it turns out, the probability of TWO Dukies getting a ring this year is 14% (6 to 1 odds), thanks mostly to the Bulls. Of course, any trades would change the figures.
