Miles Plumlee played a solid game. He was energetic.

Yep. He was the only one I even thought about considering.

Mason was big in the 2nd half when we got it back to 4 before those two big 3's from temple.....ended up with a double double

13-3 rebound advantage to mason.....yes miles suprised more with his point totals, but he ought to have more than 3 boards (and 0 defensive boards)

Mason had a better game in every stat except points.....so i gotta go with him, but miles was stellar....two anchors when the guards had such off nights

You can't get D boards if they don't miss. Also Mason's 2 missed layups were really momentum killers. He also had a number of other fumbles that were rather bad. I thought he played OK, but he was certainly not man of the match.

Miles on the other hand really did play a great game. What's even better is that he's strung together a few good games in a row which shows that its not some fluke performance.

16 points and 13 boards....including 6 straight and taking a charge to get the deficit down to 4.....not sure how you can really rip on mason as a momentum killer here....

Miles had a really solid game. Coulda/shoulda had a few more boards. Mason with a double-double but did not have much of a 1st half and too many fumbles though he did lead the team in assists tonight. WTH? Most of the rest of the guys were MIA.

Voted for Miles without question, I think it was critical for his self confidence going forward,
I hate the loss like the rest of us, but what needs to be fixed is very fixable...
They had more experience on the floor than we had and played like it!!

While we could make a list of things that need worked on, I'm sure K has his done already!

I am most encouraged with MP1's body language and demeanor this I feel was one of the bigger hurdles this team needed to become really solid. If this continues, I think the rest can fall into place..
We're just young and developing..

I would take Miles for the first half and Mason for the second. Recency effect and rebounds, I agree with uh_no and gave it to Mason.

Miles got my vote b/c w/o his play in the first half Duke would have lost by 20. You can talk about how well Mason played in the 2nd half, and he did, but it was too late (not too little) as the tone of the game was set and Mason's play did not change that. As much as a MOTM, this game deserves an anti-MOTM, which would be the entire backcourt, all of whom played some of the most uninspired ball i have seen in a long time. They didn't take shots, they didn't protect the ball and they didn't defend. So, thanks Plumlees, you both stepped up and had excellent games.

Miles got my vote as well. You make a great point about none of our guards stepping up. This may be the only game that I remember where not one of the perimeter guys really stepped up. In the past when one or two guys weren't scoring someone else stepped up and played well. That was not the case last night. I guess it was just one of those games that comes along once in a lifetime. Let's hope that's the case. GoDuke!
