For the last few years, conventional wisdom was that Auburn was the worst basketball team in any of the BCS conferences.

Move over, Tigers. Meet the 2011-12 Utah Utes.

The Utes are currently 3-10. Their three wins are over San Diego Christian, Idaho State, and Portland.

Their resume includes a a 28-point loss to Harvard, a 22-point loss to UNC Asheville, and a 29-point loss to Weber State.

In their Pac-12 opener today, they lost to Colorado, 73-33. Yes, you read that correctly. They lost by 40.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is a true horror-show.

Its quite sad, ever since Rick Majerus left they had one little spurt with Andrew Bogut and thats it. The program has declined drastically and it's amazing that they were a dominant mid major school just 7 years ago.

It's not just that they lost by 40. They lost by 40 to Colorado. There's no firm evidence that Colorado is any better this year than they are every other year; we all know the problems Maryland is facing, yet the Terps beat the Buffs earlier this year in Puerto Rico.

Serious question - are they the worst BCS-conference team ever? Kenpom has them at 334 out of 345 teams... as far as I know, completely unheard of for a team from one of the six big conferences.
