My daughter and her family recently moved to London.

Can I buy gifts for them on Amazon.co.uk and avoid shipping.
If I do will I run into credit card conversion fees etc.

Thanks

Since no one is piping up, I'll volunteer my vague recollection: you avoid shipping from the States, and only pay local shipping costs. I don't recall if they have similar super-saver deals to avoid shipping altogether.

On the downside, I'm pretty sure I paid in pounds, and therefore incurred the conversion fee. Not sure if you can work around that with paypal or something similar.

Well if you have a Capital One card it has no foriegn fx fees. It's one of the few cards with that benefit. You may be charged VAT though?
