Not that it is at all surprising, but coach K was certainly listed by many coaches as the coach they thought was smartes in this ESPN poll at the Peach Jam. I was a bit surprised to see Calipari get the second most mentions. Dean Smith was mentioned the most as the coach who would be best with the game on the line.

I like Bob Huggins, on John Calipari: "I cannot understand how he can have all these things going on and still be as good as he is. Who can do that? To be involved in all he’s involved in, that’s incredible."

Yes, it does seem like there is always a lot "going on" that Calipari is "involved in".

You missed some juiciness in the rest of the Huggins quote: "I don’t think anyone realizes what a great job he’s done the past two years basically starting over with a new team."

As I recall, it is fairly true that he started over with a mostly new team... to the detriment of the remaining players from the old team who got kicked out the door.

Martelli's quote is funny. Boeheim is the smartest coach because "he can tell you who the best freshmen are." High standards!
