Singler said the Blazers are the 10th team he's worked out for, with two more to go. The 6-foot-8 forward is expected by many to go late in the first round of next Thursday's draft.

"I just want to show them that I'm a competitor, I'm a winner," he said.

Singler said that when he hasn't been visiting teams, he's been training for the draft in Los Angeles, working on extending his range.

"I think today I shot the ball pretty well," he said.

KYLE!!
Any team that takes you is getting an IRON MAN winner!

Wow, I sure wish I was an NBA GM. I'd take all my pals here to a game in the sweet corporate box. And then I would draft Kyle...or maybe the other way around. At the draft, I would be wearing a fantastic stylish suit and some great shoes. But, all business, when it counts.

Hang in there Kyle!!!

Looks like today is Kyle's day for multiple takes on his budding pro career. The author of this one is still trying to figure out why Kyle stayed for his senior year. (http://portlandtribune.com/sports/story.php?story_id=130828088302479000)

An additional incentive to go pro was the impending work stoppage after the 2010-11 season, threatening any player’s chance to make a living the following campaign.

Everything added up to Singler ending his college career and riding into the NBA on the ultimate high.

So when Singler announced he would return to Duke for his senior season, I was somewhere between floored and flabbergasted.

The 6-9 South Medford High product had his reasons.

Some basketball fans believe the only reason for a basketball player to go to college is to demonstrate his talent to professional teams. Kyle doesn't appear to believe that (and neither do I).

This looks like a good reason to me.

This looks like a good reason to me.

What a great picture! Love Nolan's orange tennis shoes (Converse?) and his bow tie! Kyle, Nolan and Casey are forever Duke National Champions and Duke graduates! Each young man carries 4 years of wonderful memories of their Duke careers and experiences with them. I know their parents are proud of their accomplishment on the court and in the classroom. Thanks for the photo!
