If you don't remember, Bobby Gonzalez is the former Seton Hall coach who got fired in 2010 partly due to his on court antics and lack of control of his players' behavior. He was then caught shoplifting a $1400 "men's satchel" that sounds like something out of a Seinfeld episode (IT'S NOT A PURSE).
It appears now that his sister, Linda, is just as crazy. She just wrote a blog post articulating who she thinks are the ten worst sportswriters out there. Unsurprisingly, most were critical of her brother during his time at Seton Hall. Just to illustrate how ridiculous this thing is, the title is HERE IT IS: AMERICA'S TOP TEN WORST, LEAST CREDIBLE, MOST CONFLICTED SPORTWRITERS ( DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME AND KEEP FROM CHILDREN) (http://www.lindamgonzalez.com/2011/03/americas-top-ten-allstar-scumbag.html).
There are certainly people on her list that many here would agree with as being bad (Pat Forde), but several others, notably Jeff Goodman, are on there for reasons passing understanding. The big kicker is that at the end she names her top 5 sportswriters, and somehow includes Gregg Doyel on that list. Really? The guy who passes off making fun of angry emails as journalism. I won't spoil the fun of anybody by giving away what she says, but even if you disagree with every point she makes, it is hilarious to read this and imagine what a train wreck the Gonzalez family must be. I kind of want to go to their house for Thanksgiving this year, just to see what it is like.
