Nolan appears to have since deleted his tweets from a little bit ago, but he references a girl lying about his boy on videos and saying he didn't want her. I look on youtube and find that Miss Hawaii has posted a 2 part segment on "her side" of the story. Not sure if this has been posted anywhere else as of yet, feel free to move it. This is nuts how long it has been drawn out from her.

Don't give her more hits/attention by watching the video. That's exactly what she wants. If everybody just ignored her, she'd go away. Sounds like she's not directly harassing Kyrie anymore but merely complaining about him to anybody that will listen. Weak sauce.....Not blaming you ACniner, I'd just encourage that this discussion be over and her videos not linked.

I understand your thoughts and I considered that before posting. I agree she's definitely attention seeking like crazy...I just figured it would be of general interest to Kyrie supporters. Its really sad to see him tangled up in this mess.

if he hasn't already, he ought to get a restraining order....that would put the harrasment to a stop really quickly

Well, if he can. Since she is not contacting Kyrie directly at this point (at least through social media), I wonder if that would affect his ability to take action. And she works through anonymous twitter identities that she changes every day or so. Her latest move seems to be to send Kyrie's New Jersey address to lots of people on Twitter (presumably people who have expressed interest in Kyrie) along with links to photographs of Kyrie, themselves ordinary, that she has annotated insultingly. It's all unbelievably sad and sick, but I suspect, given the general savviness of Kyrie's family, that if there were an easy way to put a stop to it it would already have been done.

But I also share the concern that talking about this only pleases her, so this is the last I will comment on it.

North Carolina may have a "Cyber Stalking law". But he doesn't need to devote any of his time to this nonsense. And get caught up in COURT DRAMA, because that is what SHE WANTS! Some people just want their 15 MINUTES of fame, even if it is all about nothing.

Sad, that Kyrie can't use his Twitter account to reach out and stay connected with his fans and supporters, because of some Looney Tune harrassing and stalking him.

I just took a couple of minutes and watched the 2nd part of her You Tube! How OLD is SHE? 30+ years old? And she kept flicking what seemed to be a lighter or something. Claims to be a MODEL of some type? I have my own opinion! Read the comments that people posted on the You Tube! Enough Said about this issue!

People need to learn to be careful about their social networking and what they say online, and to Complete Strangers that they engage with online!

I am sure Kyrie has learned a valuable lesson. He is young! With a promising future! This is just nonsense!

Why not just close down the Twitter account and move on with life? Can our present youth not survive without Twitter?

I'm personally not a big fan of Twitter, but a lot of people are. For many, it's one of the key ways to keep in touch with your friends. It would be a shame to let one crazy person chase you away from something you enjoy, something that keeps you in touch with friends, family, and fans.

Kyrie has his twitter account on Private Status, now. Protected tweets.

The new Generation loves to TWEET on their TWITTER! lol

Its a major part of public image and branding these days, which is important for entertainers/athletes/celebrities like Kyrie.

Your jab at the present youth is unwarranted. Twitter is a marketing platform for these guys. Its just one way in which marketing/branding/PR has evolved. I'd bet there's a high correlation b/w endorsement dollars and # of twitter followers, for example.

(Full disclosure: I'm kind of present youth (I just had a Duke reunion so I can't be that young), yes I use twitter, but mostly as a way of getting real-time news/information updates. Its how I found out we killed Bin Laden, for example, and also how I found out we hired Capel. The only celebrities I follow are Bill Simmons and Airowe :), both of whom I follow for info/news/reporting)

I hear you loud and clear, and I'm not putting down today's youth, all I'm saying is thank goodness the interwebs did not exist when many of us were kids. Our drama stayed in the shade where it belonged. I agree with those that see this episode as a lesson learned. Today's quasi-private lifestyles make me queasy. Be careful out there!

MissHawaii is a professional escort/call girl. She also (by her own admission via twitter) has hooked up with some UNC players, and she was the "other woman" for one of the Lakers (I believe Matt Barnes). Yes, she is in the 30 range and you do NOT want to see her nude photos (unless you want to throw up).

She is lying so badly in those videos, it's sad. She calls Kyrie and his friend immature and have a lot to learn. Duh! They were 18 yrs old. Why would a 30 yr old female want to get involved with an immature 18 year old?! Oh yea, new pro$pect.

Later, she says they spoke on the phone for about an hour, and one of the calls came from his old number. If she's so upset about what transpired a few months ago, 1. Why did she answer the phone when his number came up on her ID and 2. What could she possibly have to say or interest in entertaining what Kyrie had to say that deemed an hour long phone call?!

Couldn't agree with you more, she is obviously a money hungry basketball groupie and was blown off by Kyrie when he saw her in person. She admits in the video to trying to talk to the Morris twins, Q. Miller, and Jeremy Lamb, these kids just need to watch out because she is obviously crazy and saves videos and screen shots of everything so she can try and get paid. It's funny how she is trying to play the victim when she made up the twitter account to expose Kyrie and talk trash about his mother that passed away. She keeps denying it but the screen shots she posted on the fake twitter account were the same she posted on her personal account, I mean it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. Hopefully our guys have learned from this and will be a little more careful with who they get involved with online.

Public figures sacrifice some legal rights to privacy ... they have to decide if it is worth the money.

I wouldn't bother turning my head to look at her, let alone risk a communicable computer virus to see an image of her. What on earth would young virile $ucce$$ful athletes see in her? Matt Barnes is an idiot, and carolina players obviously have no taste (they CHOSE to wear such an ugly shade of blue), but Kyrie? What was he thinking? How could he have ever been drawn into this?

Not sure what true value is added by this thread. People posting slanderous information about a girl/woman they don't know from Eve and regurgitating rumor from the net just doesn't seem within the rules. There are two sides to every story and I'm guessing in all of DBR there aren't 5 people that "know" KI or this person. Not sure why anyone would want to post negative information about someone who may/may not have insulted someone else.

The value added by this thread is awareness. No, I do not personally know Kyrie or this.... woman. However a few things are clear. First, there was a relationship between these two people, what kind of relationship I cannot say nor is it really important. Second, as a result of some... incident, she is now quite upset with Kyrie and is making veiled threats at exposing nude pictures of him which she has saved, among other things.

At the beginning of this thread a few people were posting that this woman should not get any attention and by watching her videos we are supporting her and playing into her game. I disagree. Our young athletes need to be made aware of the fact that there are people like this out there and that these people are not worth the trouble they inevitably cause. These younger athletes really don't understand how much someone like this can hurt their future. Regardless of whether or not she really has these screen shots and texts etc, the sole fact that he does (or did) have some sort of relationship (be it friendship or more) with an alleged call girl can hurt his reputation and by default his ability to get endorsements, maybe even get signed to a team (highly doubtful, but why even risk it?). I am sure that Coach K has had an in depth talk with the team about this situation, but I'm not just talking about Duke here. I'm talking about talented kids across the nation who may have their careers tarnished simply because they didn't know any better. Does anyone honestly think Coach Cal has spoken with his team about situations like this? Or Calhoun? We may not want to give "women" like this attention, but the fact is they will likely get the attention one way or another, either by us warning our younger athletes about them, or by them forcibly taking the attention via leaked photos, texts and skype conversations/acts to the media.

I'm not that old, 32, and a teacher so I see today's youth a lot. There isn't much they don't seem to be able to survive without. I think if you took them today and dropped them back in time all the way back to say the '80s they would feel like they were in the stone ages.

I lost you on the triple negative in the middle. Did you mean the opposite? It seems to contrast with the last part.

I don't think passing along rumor, insults and inuendo about who this person is/does/her age/twitter name today vs yesterday/etc informs anyone about anything useful. Most of this is a mile below the standard I've come to expect from DBR...if the reverse were true and people were saying these same unfounded and mean spirited things about KI, the thread would have been down immediately. Again would ask MODs to close this thread

I think you missed the point of my post. I left out the rumors, insults, innuendo etc and commented on the facts. It informs people, namely rising stars, about using their judgement when dealing with people who clearly have questionable character. It's a reminder to players that there are people out there who seem innocent and kind, but are actually quite unstable, and willing to go the distance to bring them, their reputation and their program down a notch. I'm sorry we have not met your standards (or at least your expectations of said standards), and I'm sure the mods have noted your multiple requests to have the thread locked, but at the end of the day if you do not like the content of the thread then do not read it.

While this seems reasonable, I just don't see that DBR is the place to point out that there are people in the world who may do you harm....in light of the opinion most have of KIs family as being smart people capable of providing him good guidance, exactly what is added by these threads? I truly appreciate your altruism, but suggest that there are many, many people in these young players lives who can and will influence them to bad and good actions. You are unlikely to reverse their upbringing with a DBR thread. You will certainly, though perhaps unintentionally, encourage folks to provide inflammatory and unfounded opinions about people they don't know as they clamour to appear supportive of Duke players. Having seen this young woman on video, How exactly do you judge her to have "clearly questionable character." That is exactly the kind of language intended to insult without proof that encourages folks to spray slanderous statements about people they don't know while hiding in the dark shadows of internet anonymity.
