I think some of them are pretty open to being "friends" with fans. I never message them since I don't want to harass them, but I like to follow along with their experiences at Duke. It makes them seem so much more real in my eyes since I don't live in North Carolina and rarely get to a game.

I did actually message Jon twice last year on the chat and he responded both times and was very appreciative of the fan support and well wishes I sent him. I also messaged ZOUBS after the national championship and thanked him for his major contribution.

I do think there are several fake profiles - I am friends with TWO Nolan Smiths, but if you are friends with Casey, you can usually find the real profiles.
