I wish. The Clippers decided not to exercise their option on Ewing. He is not signed to any NBA team.

Yeah, I saw that in the article title and thought that maybe I had missed a reconsideration on L.A.'s part. Not so.

As a Duke fan, no single ACC player over the past 4 years scared me more than Mr. Thornton. I'll never forget the OT game in Cameron in '06 when he dropped 37, 15 and 5; we won, but I have never seen an opposing player dominate in Cameron like that. During my 4 years at Duke, FSU always seemed to give us trouble, and this guy was the reason. Because FSU could never quite squirm their way into the dance, only ACC fans were able to get a good look at him and realize how good he was. Had Florida State made it to the NCAA tourney, many more people would have known about him. I think both his game and body are NBA ready, and I expect Al to make an impact sooner than later in the league. Man, am I glad he is gone...

The NBA's most underrated draftee in a long time.
