Born near the exact time that Shane hit his game winning shot to lead the Grizzlies to their first-ever playoff game victory (on the road vs the #1 West seed.)

How about:

Beale (a street in Memphis, legendary for the Blues, and dear to Heidi and Shane's heart)?

Destiny?

Trey? (Battier's game winner was a three-pointer. Can you name a girl Trey?)

Blue? (Official colors of Duke and Memphis Grizz)

OK, I these are pretty lame! Anyone have some good ones?

Not Destiny that sounds like a stripper.

How about just 'D' or Dee Battier.

Anyone know what they really named her?

I like the name Beale! Beale Battier sounds pretty cute!

Good thinking!

I love the name Cameron, but Cameron Battier doesn't seem to fit.

In Houston, Heidi gave birth to a baby boy. Shane commented on the day on Twitter: This win didn't only make it a crazy game for Battier -- it was arguably....

So which is it?
If it's a boy I hope we have started recruiting him for our 2029 class.

Okay, since it's a boy: Memphis, or Elvis?

I just laid eyes on the most beautiful girls in my life, my wife and newest addition. What a day. One for the ages!

For Baby Boy Battier: Shane Battier II

With hopes that someday, when he grows up and grows taller than HIS DADDY, he will also go to Duke University and has his Jersey retired also!

Then the Cameron Crazies, can chant out to Shane II : "WHOS YOUR DADDY?"

Actually, they'll be able to chant
"HE'S YOUR DADDY ... BATTIER!

Okay did Shane & his wife have a girl or boy???? I am confused. If it is a boy I am pefectly fine with Nolan Smith Battier. I hope K has already gotten a verbal from the doting parents.

AS long as Shane Battier II, goes to Duke University and plays Basketball!!! In 18 years! 2029 (I will be a Cameron Crustie, by then. But still cheering!)

I'd prefer to see him wear the Battier jersey that hangs there waiting for him. I think the most recent wearer would give his OK.

To clairfy: Is Baby Battier a baby boy or baby girl?

Reports say a Baby Boy, but reading Shane's twitter, sounds like a Baby girl.

I still think Shane Battier II for the name! Or Shana or Shania for a girl. Shane is a beautiful name. A smart Duke name, at that!

Dee and Cameron are good but they could go with Shana.

I'm disappointed that's not his wife's name (see mike and mickey). I vote for persephone, or esther.

I would have liked to have seen him go with Shaolin Battier.
