The Smithsonian is putting on an Art of the Video Game exhibit, and is asking for people to vote. So, if you game, or even used to game, you might wanna check it out. They cover every "era" of gaming.

I was disappointed that they left out Arkanoid/Breakout/Brickbreak and all iterations of Contra and Castlevania, but nobodies perfect. There was also very little from the racing genre.

Cool to see Geometry Wars on there...some of the most addicting 10 bucks I ever spent!

Forgive the sexism of the comment but I predict record numbers of 20-30 something guys will attend this exhibit.
Doiiiii

My gosh, the options in that voting were laughably bad. So many HUGE names not included, games that redefined genres... Even the genre categories themselves.

That really looked like it was done by a non-gamer.

Speaking of which, they're bringing back the Commodore 64. Yea baby!

Very disappointing. I was very excited to reminisce, but those choices were horrible. None of my favorite games were listed.

I think Galaga, Defender, and Robotron were all arcade games first, and I think they're only doing home games. I similarly missed Arkanoid and Centipede.
