The word legend gets thrown around too much, but in her case it was certainly true. an amazing beauty at a young age and a fine actress as well. Her late life may have been a train wreck, but she'll always be "the cat" to me.

I'll watch her in Giant and Ivanhoe any time they're on. She definitely was a larger than life figure and she was a true Holywood Star.

She started out as a little girl in National Velvet.

She "grew up" in Giant.

She became a fox in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

And she still had much of that beauty and grace when she got older.

RIP Elizabeth Taylor. A Place in the Sun and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof are my favorite Liz Taylor movies. She was a gorgeous woman and talented actress who will be missed.

I love Elizabeth Taylor movies. My favorite is CAT on a HOT TIN ROOF. Where she costarred with the handsome Paul Newman. Maggie the Cat and Brick were awesome. I was given the movie for a Christmas gift 2009, and probably have watched it over 25 times!

Elizabeth and Paul ...now they were actors! And so attractive. RIP, I will cherish all of your wonderful talents as an actor/actress, always.

"did she ever say who the love of her life was? Richard Burton?"

I always kind of assumed his last name was De Beers.

I can't read Ivanhoe, one of my favorite novels, without picturing her as Rebecca. That's not a bad thing.
