"[Coach K] helps me with everything," he said. "We talk about life, video games, girls. Anything that's on our minds."

LOL -- I love Coach K. And I pretty much already love Austin Rivers. And though it sounds weird that K and Austin would be gossiping about girls and stuff, I can definitely picture Krzyzewski mentoring Austin on women considering he's been married since the Miracle Mets won the World Series.

But video games? I realize he did those ads (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peeTvaQ9fqE), but if he's talking Madden and stuff with recruits, he relates to the younger generation far better than, well, I ever have. I have to give him props on that.

It goes on to say, " They also talk about Rivers' role next season, as he'll join a Blue Devils team that should be considered a favorite again in 2012. Duke will likely return Seth Curry, Andre Dawkins and Mason Plumlee, among others, and will add four-star forward Michael Gbinje. Despite a talented surrounding cast, Rivers will be asked to carry much of the offensive load."

You have to love this kid. He certainly doesn't lack for confidence. Coming in expecting to carry much of the offensive load for the defending National Champions, well, that is confidence. It would be so awesome to see Kyrie and him play side-by-side, from a pure "thing of beauty, historical" perspective. 'can't wait to see him in Cameron.

I dislike this line. So is it confirmed that Duke is going to have some elite or near-elite point guard that can just step right in and guide the offense with no problem?

I'm probably getting off-topic though. It sure will be nice to see what Austin can bring to the table.

Tyler has held his own this year. Quinn Cook is a McDonald's All-American (who Austin said wanted to be his point guard) and Seth Curry has proven he has the ball handling skills as well. Maybe this was a jab at some kind of humor but I missed it.

Too many games left to be talking about this though. Let's pick it up in two months.

No offense to Tyler, but I think he'll have to really improve footspeed and ballhandling skills to win the starting PG position over Q. Cook. Lets hope it doesn't matter because Kyrie is our PG next year but if not, Cook looks pretty darn good. Anyhow, it's a good problem to have, and I can't wait for Austin!

Slam online posted this quote from Austin:

“Q: ‘You’re rated one of the best players in the nation—but you routinely rub elbows with the best players in the world. Which players are you most in awe of?’

A: ‘Well, I’ve met Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen—you name it. A lot of people ask me who I’ve met through my dad, and they’re in awe when they hear the names of the players, but I’ve never looked at it like that. It’s cool meeting all of them, but I really want to be in their situation one day. I don’t want to just meet LeBron, I want to destroy him on the court one day."

He's just saying, you can look up to guys and all that, but when it comes down to it, he views himself as being in their position someday. Using hip-hop to put it in perspective -- bear with me -- it's like Kanye West calling Jay-Z his big brother (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2d_sqO_yWu4), but saying to be No. 1, he'd have to beat his brother. Or Drake rapping (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSKndXpLM3Y):

And thats around the time that your idols become your rivals
you make friends with Mike but gotta AI him (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEmS8ZQIhTA)for your survival

This is great! I heard the guys on PTI talking about this yesterday. I can't wait for this kid to get to Duke. Love his swagger! If he and Kyrie could play together...WOW.
