I think his performance in the second half against Miami in rowdy and frenzied-to-take-down-Duke Coral Gables, which consisted of 16 points after returning from a game-removing eye injury, has officially put Nolan into the driver's seat for the national player of the year award. He was flat-out unpreventable in the final 15 minutes of yesterday evening's game and single-handedly blew the 'Canes out of their own gym. It was a Jason Williams worthy performance.

On second thought, a better compliment might just be that it was Nolan Smith at the top of his game. He's hurriedly growing a legend, folks. Don't shut your eyes now.
