A UConn football booster, upset that he wasn't consulted in the recent coaching hire, wants his money back (http://m.apnews.com/ap/db_8566/contentdetail.htm?full=true&contentguid=nYncWPqZ&detailindex=4#display).

"We want our money and respect back.". Too late for the latter...

Makes me embarrassed to be a UConn fan.

I personally think uconn should keep the money AND take his money off the building....clearly he won't be giving any more money, and the university probably has no obligation (or incentive) to return the money

I may not be the biggest fan of the AD or the new head coach.....but as a booster, this isn't the way to help the football program....

I read this story just before logging onto the board, and it's one of the craziest things I've ever heard off. I guess for $3 million and change, this guy thought he was buying himself a co-AD position.

Pretty crazy. Everyone knows you have to give at least nine figures to get that kind of job.

Dude could've bought Cam Newton and Anthony Davis with plenty of change left over for $3M:D

I think James Bailey might be able to pen an appropriate response.
