Olek's first game for Nevada

just an update on Olek

he played his first game as part of the Nevada Wolfpack Friday
He played 24 minutes racking up 10 points 3-4 fg and 1-1 ft, team high 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 turnovers
Nevada lost 78-75 to Arizona St.

Not that Olek has a huge rep for being dyn-o-mite from the FT line, but if he had made 6-7 rather than 3-7, the game ends in regulation as a tie. FTs have a funny way of altering the momentum of a game and who knows how Reno would have responded to just one or 2 more made FTs during the heat of the game.
At any rate, Olek played a pretty good game, and if he keeps it up might help turn around a pretty dismal season so far for his team.

Saw part of the game last night. Olek seemed over-eager in the 1st half, and committed a couple quick fouls, which limited his early playing time. He played better in the 2nd half, and showed flashes of good play.

For Arizona State, almost-Dukie Carrick Felix played only 2 minutes off the bench and didn't score. I was hopeful he would have a role at Duke (defensive specialist? and versatile athlete off the bench) but he's struggling now.
