Cal scores 5 points in the first half- 2 for 25. Ouch. I think worst half in the shot clock era. Brought back memories of the shutout Duke had against Carolina in '79 and the birth of the Air Ball chant in Cameron.

Actually, not quite. Savannah State scored only 4 points against KState in the 2nd half in 2008 (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=280072306).

Still, awful.

Thanks- maybe the lowest in the first half- saw something on a crawl on ESPN but may have missed something.

Both are epicly bad....Cal scored 0.15 Points Per Possession (NCAA Average 1 point per possession), Savannah State 0.13. Just...wow.

Southern scored nine points in the first half vs Richmond this past Tuesday!

According to Ken Pomeroy, this was the lowest combined scoring half between two D1 teams in the shot clock era...breaking the one day old record set by Wisconsin and Manhattan in the same tournament.
