Not to alarm anyone, but Nolan went down in practice on Wednesday evening and did not return. Does anyone know if the injury was serious? I haven't heard anything.

You have most definitely alarmed me.

I was told he came back. Just a bruised tailbone.

Yeah, not sure how this would "not alarm anyone." We will likely find out in 48 hours.

According to Coach K later that night during the Q&A at dinner following practice, the injury wasn't seen to be serious and Nolan would miss 2-3 days tops--expected to be fine for Sunday.

It did look like a tail bone injury. He definitely did not return to that practice. I didn't remember K saying that. Hopefully, 2-3 days is right.

I don't know, sounds like this will all be in the rear view mirror pretty soon.

At least it seems we've gotten to the bottom of this.

Let's not give Nolan a bum rap; he's not injury prone.

Yeah... in hindsight, this thread may have been a bad idea.

A good story? I don't know, sounds painful - although maybe in hindsight...

I'm confident whoever fills in over the next few days won't crack under the pressure. I think we have enough talent behind him.

Maybe I am coming in on the tail end of this, but how did the injury occur (A Plumlee establishing dominance in the paint, perhaps?)?

What a sharp contrast between this thread and the Tail-gate thread.:D

I LOVE these boards, we can be simultaneously anal and banal.

When we so choose.

Unlike IC.

Where it seems to be a criteria.

I'm bummed we haven't put this behind us.

Maybe it is a bit assinine (it made me change it, and called me a wanker; so imagine the hyphen).

With Nolan healthy, Princeton will not be able to tuchus.

i think he took a "high knee" to the back, or something.

Man, I was hoping they were just getting into post play really heavy. If they play with attitude, ownership, and really take pride in being tough, then we will be great. Hopefully they still are. Sorry to break the rhythm of the thread, but I seriously did want to hear that. Thanks for the info.

Sorry to butt in, but you may want to quickly re-read the back end of the message you quoted and look back at what the poster (ior) said.

Nolan Smith was at a media event at Duke today and appeared quite fine.

So it sounds like all's well that ends well.
PS, time for the moderators to close this thread? Please?:D

So, did Nolan say that he hopes them team will be able to say after the Princeton game that we wrecked 'em? Now I'm done.
