Awesome theme for this team. A mix of seasoned veterans, maturing underclassmen, and eager freshmen. This team needs an identity and it begins with a team first, team unity, team dependent concept.

Love the theme. Just makes me a little dizzy looking at it!

Does anyone know the dimensions of this poster? I like to frame them and would like to buy the frame ahead of time.

Think the name of this team is 1 because Kyrie is number 1 and this year will go as far as he can take it? I hope his ego isn't too too big and he ends up like John Wall.

To each his own, but this year's poster does nothing for me. Well, it does leave me with $10 more than I usually have at this time of year.:)

Gotta agree with killerleft. Not the biggest fan of this poster. I understand the theme and think it's a strong one, but they could have been a little more creative in the design.

I can't tell if you are being funny, or you just totally missed the point and what Duke basketball is all about.

Personally I love the poster. Enough of people dressed like cowboys or mobsters or Spartans. That is garbage. But this? A team, huddled up, in their game uniforms, coming together as one? Ab-so-LUTELY.

Think back to last April, when Coach K explained what the team had begun to do prior to games. They came together, linked arms...they were going to win as a team, and made it a point to emphasize that in as literal a way as possible.

It's not a new concept in sport by any stretch. But Coach K found a way for that theme to resonate with his particular group of guys in as effective a way as he could.

Pretty outstanding. Love the poster. Only thing I'd change is the word "one" itself. Don't need it. The guys and the name on the front of their jerseys say all that needs to be said.

This is my favorite poster so far. I love the simplicity of it. I wasn't a big fan at all of last year's goodfellas poster. I'd love to have this one signed by the team.

Totally agreed, sometimes they get a little too cheesy with the themes for my taste. While I'm not completely blown away by this year's, I do love the simplicity.

They linked arms and walked from the baseline to mid-court at CTC.
It was very, very cool.
You can tell the team is working on great chemistry and remaining tight as a group.

I love this pic from USA Today:

I agree. This year's poster is elegant in its simplicity and directness. I was also getting tired of all the Photoshop effects and vampire-movie fonts.

That said, the cowboy (1991) and mobster (2010) themes both resulted in Duke national championships. I don't remember any Spartan themes, though.

UNC had a pretty silly one...

Wearing a rim around your neck? Holding a bunch of flat basketballs?

Yep; the 300. Good times for those of us who enjoy making fun of posters. That one guy actually DESTROYED a basketball! Because, you know... it is REALLY easy to dribble a smashed basketball! Fools.

This seemed like a good thread to throw this in since it's not about signed posters. I was cleaning out my storage unit today and found this buried in one of my painting portfolios. I didn't even know I had it. According to dukeblueplanet, K started the tradition of the team posters that are released every year. (http://www.blueplanetshots.com/True-Blue/Posterized/6411109_QJSkFG#1530359018_7vLkw8P) This is the third one and featured the class of Weldon Williams, Mark Alarie, Jay Bilas, David Henderson and Johnny Dawkins. I'm pretty sure it must have been a Christmas or birthday present from my dad back in '82. (edit...I've been informed that Devil84 is one of the Crazies in this pic)

Now I gotta clean it up a bit and find a frame!
