Do they exclude freshmen from this list as a general rule? If I had to pick one player from UNC, I don't think it would be John Henson...

Yes, many media personalities released their own ballots and many stated that they weren't allowed to include freshman or transfers.

Demetri McCamey 6-3 Sr. G Illinois Big Ten
E'Twaun Moore 6-4 Sr. G Purdue Big Ten
Marcus Morris 6-9 Jr. F Kansas Big 12
Jacob Pullen 6-0 Sr. G Kansas State Big 12
John Shurna 6-8 Jr. F Northwestern Big Ten
Kyle Singler* 6-8 Sr. F Duke ACC
Chris Singleton 6-9 Jr. F Florida State ACC
Nolan Smith 6-2 Sr. G Duke ACC
Durrell Summers 6-5 Sr. G Michigan State Big Ten
Jeffery Taylor 6-7 Jr. G/F Vanderbilt SEC
Isaiah Thomas 5-9 Jr. G Washington Pac-10
Trey Thompkins 6-10 Jr. F Georgia SEC
Klay Thompson 6-6 Jr. G Washington State Pac-10
Kemba Walker 6-1 Jr. G Connecticut Big East
Derrick Williams 6-8 So. F Arizona Pac-10
Jordan Williams 6-10 So. F Maryland ACC
Chris Wright 6-8 Sr. F Dayton Atlantic 10

Here are the 13 on Wooden list that are not on Goodman's top 50:

Ty Abbott 6-3 Sr. G Arizona State Pac-10
Kenny Boynton 6-2 So. G Florida SEC
Corey Fisher 6-1 Sr. G Villanova Big East
Austin Freeman 6-4 Sr. G Georgetown Big East
Steven Gray 6-5 Sr. G Gonzaga West Coast
Jordan Hamilton 6-7 So. G/F Texas Big 12
Jeremy Hazell 6-5 Sr. G Seton Hall Big East
John Henson 6-10 So. F North Carolina ACC
Cory Higgins 6-5 Sr. G Colorado Big 12
Tracy Smith 6-8 Sr. F North Carolina State ACC
Joe Trapani 6-8 Sr. F Boston College ACC
Brandon Triche 6-4 So. G Syracuse Big East
Nikola Vucevic 6-10 Jr. F USC Pac-10

Here are the 13 on Goodman's list not on Wooden List:

Matthew Bryan-Amaning, Wash P10
Keith Benson, Oakland Summit
Yancy Gates, Cincy BE
JaMychgal Green, Bama SEC
Tu Holloway, Xavier, A10
Orlando Johnson UCSB BW
Kevin Jones W VA BE
Malcolm Lee UCLA P10
David Lighty, Ohio St, B10
Chandler Parsons, FLorida SEC
Iman Shumpert GA Tech ACC
Chris Warren ole MS SEC
Tyler Zeller UNC ACC

Goodman also listed a few frosh he would have included.

From ACC, his likely candidates for All-ACC or ACC Second team would be Kyle Singler, Nolan Smith, Malcolm Delaney, Chris Singleton, (Iman Shumpert), Jordan Williams and (Tyler Zeller).

If frosh were allowed he would have added Harrison Barnes and Kyrie Irving, as 9 of top 10 in ACC, hard to argue with any of those picks if they all stay healthy.

Swap out Iman Shumpert and Tyler Zeller for Joe Trapani, Tracy Smith and John Henson on the Wooden list. So that is potentially 12 of the 15 gtop ACC guys.

Non ACC with multiples and therefore IMO likely Elite 8 or better candidates if they get some help:

Purdue has 3 Robbie Hummell, JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore

Duke had 2+ with Kyle Singler, Nolan Smith and frosh Kyrie Irving

UNC had 2-ish with Tyler Zeller on Goodnman's list but not Wooden list and vice versa for John Henson plus Barnes if frosh were allowed

Ohio St had 2-ish with William Buford and David Lighty plus Jared Sullinger if frosh were allowed, but Lighty was not on the Wooden list

Mich St had 2 Kalin Lucas and Durrell Summers

Wash had 2- with Matthew Bryan-Amaning who I have never heard of and the other Isaiah Thomas, but Bryan-Amining was not on the Wooden list

UCLA had 2- with Tyler Honeycutt and Malcolm Lee, but Lee was not on the Wooden list

KU had 1+ Marcus Morris and if allowed both as frosh and due to eligiibility issues Josh Selby

UK would have had 2 with Brandon Knight and again as frosh and due to eligiibility issues free Enes Kanter

Zaga 1.5 had Elias Harris on both lists and Steven Gray only on Wooden list

Syracuse 1.5 had Kris Joseph on both lists and Brandon Triche only on the Wooden list

Colorado 1.5 had Alec Burks on both lists and Cory Higgins only on Wooden list. They may be an exception since Colorado is not expected ot be very good as usual.

Florida 1-ish had Chandler Parsons on Gooman list not Wooden and Kenny Boynton vice versa

and notable decently rated teams with none in Top 50 Goodman list or on Wooden list

Who would you pick? Zeller is injury prone and not that great anyway, pg, sg, sf.... well they were so bad last year i dont wanna mention it

And yet, he was better than Henson.

And players are injury prone until they aren't.
